A company representative told the BBC that members have never had more entertainment options.
Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Croatia, Venezuela, Kenya, and Iran are among the nations where subscription fees have been reduced.
The business did not mention the US or the UK as nations where it had reduced prices.
"We're constantly looking for ways to enhance the experience of our members. A Netflix representative said, "We can confirm that we are changing the pricing of our plans in some countries.
After the Wall Street Journal broke the news, the company's shares closed 3 point 4 percent lower in New York on Thursday.
Netflix, which has operations in more than 190 countries, is now up against more streaming competitors, such as Amazon, HBO, and Disney.
In an effort to increase its share of the increasingly cutthroat streaming market, the company launched a less expensive streaming option with advertisements and laid off hundreds of employees last year.
Netflix's co-CEO Greg Peters outlined his strategy for growing the company's subscriber base in January.
