According to her family, actress Angela Thorne, best known for her role in To The Manor Born, passed away at the age of 84.
She appeared in the BBC comedy series from 1979 to 1981 as Marjory Frobisher alongside Penelope Keith as Audrey Fforbes-Hamilton and Peter Bowles as Richard DeVere.
In 1979, Thorne co-starred with Michael Elphick in the BBC comedy Three Up, Two Down.
She later made an appearance in the television shows Midsomer Murders and Foyle's War.
Audrey, who had a love-hate relationship with Richard until their marriage at the conclusion of the show's three seasons in 1981, had Marjory, played by Thorne, as her devoted friend.
In 2007, the three actors came back for the show's one-off, 60-minute special.
