Adele Roberts' departure from Radio 1 has been announced.
After "an incredible eight years" at the station, the DJ already broadcast her last show, which was in May.
She has been vocal in recent years about her bowel cancer treatment, and in 2022 she declared herself to be free of the illness.
Managing director of Radio 1 Aled Haydn Jones said, "She consistently goes above and beyond for others, and I want to say a huge thank you to her for everything.".
Adele made her treatment for bowel cancer public in October 2021.
The 44-year-old frequently discusses her treatment and her stoma, which she has named Audrey, on social media.
After eight months of treatment, she declared in June 2022 that she was cancer-free.
Before moving to Radio 1 in 2015 to host the station's Early Breakfast show, Adele began working for the BBC in 2012 as a presenter on BBC Radio 1Xtra.
Aled, the head of Radio 1, thanked Adele for her time on the show and noted that she "always puts others first.".
"No matter if it's key personnel during the pandemic on her show or other people's health during her own cancer diagnosis. ".
Several other changes to the Radio 1 schedule have also been announced, and it comes almost a year after Scott Mills and Chris Stark left the station.
Sam MacGregor and Danni Diston will team up to co-host the new Weekend Breakfast show, which will relocate from London to Cardiff, starting in September.
As part of Radio 1's Christmas Takeover, the duo received their first opportunity to host on the station during the 2020 holiday season.
Since then, they have established themselves as regulars, hosting Radio 1's coverage of a variety of shows and, most recently, taking part in the Big Weekend festival in Dundee.
They claim that since they can remember, they have "dreamed of having our own show.".
The two are thrilled to broadcast from Cardiff.
It's the city where we first met, where we started presenting as a team, and where we now proudly reside. ".
In addition, Jess Iszatt will replace Gemma Bradley as the host of BBC Introducing on Sundays on Radio 1.
Beginning her career on student radio stations, she now hosts the BBC Music Introducing program for BBC Radio London, promoting musicians like Arlo Parks, Freya Ridings, and Celeste.
"The most exciting part of the journey is supporting new artists at the very beginning of their careers," she said.
