When she stars in Plaza Suite alongside her husband Matthew Broderick, Sarah Jessica Parker will make her West End debut the following year.
The Savoy Theatre will debut the adaptation of Neil Simon's 1968 play in January.
The Broadway production, which had Parker and Broderick as its stars and had a successful 19-week run, has already featured both actors.
The two actors play three distinct couples who each stay in a renowned hotel room in the show.
The first couple, Karen and Sam Nash, have been married for a long time, but as their anniversary draws near, their marriage is having trouble.
The second couple is made up of ex-high school sweethearts Muriel Tate and Jesse Kiplinger, whose adult lives have diverged.
The third couple is made up of Norma and Roy Hubley, who are the parents of a bride who is refusing to leave the bathroom of the suite in order to attend her own wedding.
The Plaza hotel in New York's Suite 719 serves as the setting for all three of the play's acts.
The real-life couple "have a flagrant enjoyment in playing opposite each other, which is the best and maybe the only reason to book in," Alexis Soloski of the Guardian wrote in a three-star review of the Broadway production.
The show itself is kind of lost in time, according to Variety's Daniel D'Addario. However, it feels enduring due to Parker and Broderick's finely tuned chemistry. ".
Parker received two Emmy Awards for her portrayal of Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City; she later returned to the role in the spin-off series And Just Like That.
Additionally, she has acted in movies like Hocus Pocus, Failure to Launch, and I Don't Know How She Does It.
Broderick has acted in Inspector Gadget, The Cable Guy, and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. He last appeared in the West End in 2019's The Starry Messenger.
His performances in Brighton Beach Memoirs and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying earned him two Tony Awards.
The West End version of Plaza Suite will be directed by John Benjamin Hickey, who also helmed the Broadway revival.
From January 15 through March 31, 2024, it will be presented at the Savoy Theatre.
