A concertgoer "slapped me so hard" during a performance in Los Angeles, according to singer Ava Max, that he "scratched the inside of my eye.".
Videos circulated online appeared to show a man striking the American pop star in the face as she was singing.
Max is seen reversing after being struck in the video and holding her eye.
He slapped me so hard that he scratched the inside of my eye, the singer wrote on Twitter after the performance. He won't attend a performance ever again. ".
She continued, "Thank you to the fans, though, for being amazing tonight in LA.".
On Tuesday, the singer, age 29, was struck while she was performing at The Fonda Theatre.
Days earlier, pop star Bebe Rexha had suffered facial injuries after a spectator threw a phone at her as she performed in New York.
When Max was hit, she was almost done with her performance and quickly left the stage. When she met with fans after the show, she had sunglasses on.
She was performing her song The Motto as the show's finale when Joel Rangel, 30, of Tucson, Arizona, who was there to record it, told the PA news agency: "A fan just ran and jumped on the left side of the stage.
"As he leaped onto the stage, some of the lights fell to the floor, and he ran for Ava with his arms outstretched as if he were going to embrace her.
But as the security rushed to grab him, his arm accidentally struck her in the face as she turned around. ".
"Also, they almost cancelled the meet-and-greet because of the situation," said Mr. Rangel, who claimed to have flown to Los Angeles for the concert.
It was difficult to converse with her in that way because she had to wear sunglasses and was confused and dazed. ".
The security guard literally THREW him down the stairs, according to a tweet from another fan named Cory Larrabee. Amazing how quickly it occurred. ".
