In Los Angeles, the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards are being presented to some of the year's top television and film performances.
Before the ceremony on Sunday, a plethora of celebrities walked the red carpet. The guests who posed for pictures and some of the nominees are shown here.
One of the first people to strike a photo op before the ceremony began was Zendaya, the star of Euphoria. Jessica Chastain, from The Good Nurse, and Danielle Deadwyler, from Till. On the red carpet, British actors Andrew Garfield and Eddie Redmayne—both nominees for The Good Nurse—joked around. Jenna Ortega, who starred in Wednesday, and Viola Davis, who was nominated for leading actress in The Woman King. Barry Keoghan, an Irish actor, and Brendan Fraser, a US actor, were each nominated for their roles in The Banshees of Inisherin and The Whale. This award season, Cate Blanchett, who plays a character in the film Tár, has dominated the leading actress category. There are two Michelles in the running for best leading actress: Michelle Yeoh of Everything Everywhere All At Once and Michelle Williams of The Fabelmans. For their roles in The Banshees of Inisherin, Colin Farrell, Kerry Condon, and Brendan Gleeson are all nominated. Both Ke Huy Quan and Stephanie Hsu have received nominations for Everything Everywhere All At Once in the supporting categories. For his portrayal of Elvis Presley in the biopic Elvis, Austin Butler has already received a number of awards. For her work in Everything Everywhere All At Once, Jamie Lee Curtis received a nomination. While British actor Bill Nighy wore a more conventional black tux, American actress Angela Bassett made a statement in yellow. For her role in West Side Story, actress Ariana DeBose took home a SAG Award the previous year. Amanda Seyfried, who starred in The Dropout, and British actress Sheila Atim, who starred opposite Viola Davis in The Woman King, are both actors. Bob Odenkirk, star of Better Call Saul, and his American film producer wife Naomi. Julia Garner, the star of Inventing Anna and Ozark on TV, is another nominee. The nominees for Aftersun and Blonde are the Irish actor Paul Mescal and the Cuban-American actress Ana de Armas. For her work in the mockumentary television drama The White Lotus, Jennifer Coolidge has received a nomination. Emily Blunt, a British actress, and Rooney Mara, who both star in the SAG-nominated film Women Talking. Christina Applegate, a US actress who revealed in 2021 that she had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, accompanied her daughter Sadie Grace LeNoble as they walked the red carpet. Hustle actor Adam Sandler, who was nominated for the award, joined his wife Jackie at the ceremony. Source link
