The weekend-long country house rave's organizer has promised to minimize noise disruption for the neighborhood's residents.
The three-day dance music festival scheduled at Coed Coch has drawn criticism from Dolwen, Conwy, locals.
If Conwy's licensing office gives permission, the festival is scheduled to take place at the Georgian manor house in July.
On social media, however, nearby residents have expressed worries.
For a related event organized by the same person, OK, at the Dolwen location in 2021, Conwy council issued a noise abatement notice, according to their evidence.
Archie Fetherstonhaugh, the event's organizer, claimed that the festival in 2021 was a test run and that lessons had been learned.
There is a small but vociferous group of opponents, and that is okay. We work with that," he said.
"Since I'm not a sound engineer, our attempts to reduce noise during the pilot event were not entirely successful, so we've brought in a lot of contractors and outside opinions to help us with this.
We are collaborating with F1 Acoustics, a market pioneer in noise diagnostics, and they have created topographical and population maps so that we are aware of where to place the sound systems and in which direction to direct them to minimize disturbance. ".
Residents were reassured by Mr. Featherstonehaugh, who said he has spoken to "a lot of people who know a lot more about this than we do, and they have assured us."
