Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters travels to Glastonbury Festival by train

Prior to a surprise performance at Glastonbury Festival, Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters chose to take the train.

Along with 40 other passengers, the singer boarded the 11:00 BST service from London, where her band had performed a set on the Pyramid Stage as The Churnups.

The group that was with Grohl then disembarked at Bath Spa, where they boarded minibuses to travel to the festival.

On the train from London Paddington, the celebrity met rail employee Brendan Cropper, according to GWR.

The first group arrived at 10:20, and GWR reported that they had exclusive use of the First Class lounge at Paddington for the entire morning.

In an apparent effort to conceal his identity before the unexpected Glastonbury performance, Grohl was among the last to arrive.

Later, when The Churnups entered the stage to screams from the audience, he confirmed the widespread belief that they were, in fact, The Foo Fighters.
