On a bench honoring him and his Black Sabbath bandmates, rock legend Geezer Butler posted a picture of his grandchildren.
Butler rose to fame in the 1960s as the band's bassist and lyricist.
The band's four founding members were featured on a commemorative bench that was unveiled in Birmingham in 2019.
"The new generation of Butlers on the Black Sabbath bench," Butler captioned the image that he posted to Instagram.
On the now-named Black Sabbath Bridge over the canal on Broad Street, a bench with Butler, singer Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi, and drummer Bill Ward is displayed.
Iommi previously declared the artwork to be his favorite, calling it "really fantastic.".
It was "wonderful" to see Butler enjoy it as well, according to Mike Olley of Birmingham's Westside Business Improvement District.
It's wonderful to see the respect that the bench inspires, said Mr. Olley.
"It has genuinely developed into an excellent tourist destination for Birmingham. ".
Heavy metal music's forerunners, Black Sabbath, were founded in the city in 1968.
