A spacecraft created for the cult science fiction TV show Cold Lazarus has been rescued from certain destruction.
The 8.5-meter-long (28-foot) engine-powered craft is parked on Jack Brescia's driveway in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire.
Joe Serevena, a friend of his, found it in Wendover, Buckinghamshire, in August.
He initially believed it to be a "little bit different" American-style caravan.
The friends initially believed they could transform it into a bar, but upon further investigation they learned it had been used in the four-part drama series by Dennis Potter from 1996, which was broadcast on Channel 4 and the BBC and starred Albert Finney.
On his way to work one morning, Mr. Serevena remarked, "I saw it buried under trees.
"It had lain there for more than 15 years. ".
He claimed he had permission to remove it because it was going to be scrapped.
After spending several hours cleaning it up, the vehicle—which has wheels and two steering wheels—was towed away.
Since then, it has been on Mr. Brescia's drive because the engine seized, according to Mr. Serevena.
There has been some local and international interest since it was put up for sale for £25,000, according to Mr. Brescia.
It would be better to leave it in England, and for someone to take it and do something with it to restore it to normal, he said, noting that it is a British sci-fi series.
