Rock band Queens of the Stone Age's lead singer and guitarist Josh Homme has revealed he was given a cancer diagnosis last year. .
According to Revolver magazine, he underwent a successful procedure to have it removed, and he is "still healing.".
I'm incredibly grateful that I'll survive this, Homme said in an interview with Revolver. "Cancer is just the cherry on top of an interesting time period, you know? ".
The type of cancer was kept a secret by the 50-year-old.
He told the magazine, "I never say it can't get worse. I never say that, and I certainly wouldn't suggest it. But I will say that things could improve. ".
I want to do a lot of things, he continued. And there are many individuals I want to do that with. ".
Homme spoke after a turbulent few years, during which he also lost a number of close friends, went through a contentious divorce, and fought for custody of his son with Distillers singer Brody Dalle. During this time, the two were also accusing each other of physical abuse.
When asked by Revolver about Dalle, he responded, "I would never talk badly about the mother of my children. And I'm not going to talk about my kids. ".
