According to the broadcaster, the BBC Radio 6 Music Festival will always be held in Greater Manchester.
The region, which played host to the festival's debut in 2014, will serve as its "permanent home" going forward, according to the BBC.
The station would "be rooted in Salford over time," according to Samantha Moy, director of BBC Radio 6 Music.
Arlo Parks, Christine and the Queens, and Loyle Carner will perform headlining sets at the three-day event in March of 2023.
The festival made its debut in 2014 in Manchester, and since then has been held in Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow, Liverpool, London, and Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
The 2023 event will take place between March 24 and March 26 at Manchester's Band on the Wall and Trafford's Victoria Warehouse.
Arlo Parks, Christine and the Queens, Loyle Carner and Manchester's AMC Gospel Choir will all perform world premieres, and Wu-Lu, Lava La Rue, and The Big Moon will perform live sets.
Additionally, DJ sets by Yard Act, Afrodeutsche, Erol Alkan, Don Letts, Good Future, Hot Chip, Steve Lamacq, and Tim Burgess will be performed.
Parks expressed her excitement by saying that it would be "the first time I'll be introducing my new album in a live setting.".
I genuinely can't wait for this and it's a real joy to be among such innovative, unique artists, she continued.
In order to bring the festival back to Greater Manchester, where it all started, with some incredible performances, Ms. Moy stated that the station "will be rooted in Salford over time.".
You may have seen Loyle Carner, Arlo Parks, and Christine and the Queens before, but never like this, she remarked.
"This weekend promises to be truly exceptional. ".
The region, according to Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham, is "the perfect fit" for the occasion.
"Greater Manchester has a rich musical history and a real pride in its independent music scene, and since BBC Radio 6 Music has always supported new and alternative artists, it's a perfect fit for the festival to have its permanent home in the city for the years to come," he said.
The festival's official website, where you can also view all the gig information, will start taking ticket orders at 10:00 on Thursday.
Highlights of the festival will be broadcast on BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Radio Manchester, BBC Sounds, BBC Four, BBC iPlayer, and BBC Music's YouTube channel, in addition to other BBC platforms.
