Paul Oakenfold: DJ denies sexual harassment claim

Paul Oakenfold

Following a lawsuit from a former employee, DJ Paul Oakenfold "categorically" denied allegations of sexual harassment.

Last week, the woman sued the British DJ and producer as well as his management company in California, claiming harassment and wrongful termination.

On Monday, he described it as an effort to extort him and damage his reputation.

Let me be very clear about this: I categorically deny any and all claims of improper conduct, he said in a statement posted online.

According to Deadline, the 24-year-old woman, only known as Jane Roe, has accused him of making himself vulnerable and masturbating in front of her.

"Respect, integrity, and consent are values I hold dear, and I have always treated everyone with the utmost professionalism," he wrote in response on social media.

"It is disappointing to see these unfounded claims, which seem to be nothing more than a calculated attempt to damage my reputation and demand money. ".

The woman claims that two businesses run by Mr. Oakenfold and others violated her rights at work and regarding employment. More than $25,000 (£20,100) in total damages are what she is requesting.

U2, Madonna, Britney Spears, and the Rolling Stones are just a few of the artists that the Grammy-nominated DJ and Swordfish film soundtrack composer have produced and remixed.
