Roads will become more congested this week as Glastonbury Festival approaches, so drivers are advised to allow more time.
A-roads and major highways are likely to be congested from Wednesday to Friday as 200,000 people travel to Worthy Farm, according to National Highways.
The A39 and junctions 25 and 23 of the M5 are likely to be worst affected, the agency said, as traffic is anticipated to reach its peak on Wednesday.
Transporting plenty of drinking water has been advised to drivers.
The M5 is the primary highway that connects to and departs from the location; at junction 23, motorists can take the A39 and A361 to get there.
The A303 eastbound from the Podimore Roundabout is anticipated to be busy, as the A303-A37 is also used for traffic arriving from London.
On June 26, as festival attendees return home, traffic will also increase.
Emergency coordinator for National Highways' south west region John Ingram said: "We advise people to check our traffic and travel information channels, but whatever their journey, we advise people to set off early and allow plenty of time. ".
"And with temperatures expected to stay warm throughout the week, we'd also advise pre-checking your vehicles for oil, fuel, and coolant levels as well as properly inflated tires. Additionally, make sure you have plenty of drinking water on hand for yourself and your passengers to stay hydrated, and take regular breaks.
