A concert will be held by the schoolboy's grieving family to honor his life after he passed away while attending his first music festival.
When Rhys Murray, 16, took a break from studying for his exams to attend the In It Together festival in Margam, Neath Port Talbot, he experienced an asthma attack.
On the first day of the three-day festival at Old Park Farm, Rhys—who adored the performing arts—passed away as a result of complications from a severe asthma attack.
A music festival would be held in Rhys' honor, according to his 19-year-old brother Thomas, who called him "wonderful.".
According to brother Thomas, "Rhys was my absolute world, my rock, and everything someone could mean to someone.".
"His family absolutely adored and worshipped him. ".
Thomas added that Rhys had a passion for boxing, musical theater, and stage acting.
On the festival's first day, Rhys suffered a fatal asthma attack.
Thomas said, "He was absolutely amazing at singing and acting.".
"The boy had a contagious smile and a contagious personality; everyone could sense his love. He was also a great asset to his school, Ysgol Cwm Brombil. ".
Lewis Capaldi would be Thomas' dream guest at an event he planned in his brother's honor. Thomas made an appeal for assistance.
He remarked, "He liked that genre in particular and his lyrics mean a lot.
"If there was anyone I could get to sing for Rhys, it would be him. ".
Thomas, Rhys' brother, claims that having Lewis Capaldi perform at the tribute concert is his dream come true.
Additionally, Rhys' school and a youth theater company he helped found have paid tribute to him.
The youth theater company Afan Arts released a statement saying, "We announce the sudden passing of Rhys Murray with profound sadness and a heavy heart.".
Rhys was a very talented performer, a kind and respectful young man, and he had a great sense of humor.
"Having him here has been a blessing for us. He'll be terribly missed. ".
Rhys is a "valued student" at Ysgol Cwm Brombil in Port Talbot.
The school issued a statement saying, "Our most heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of this wonderful young man.".
