Numerous delays have been reported as thousands of rock fans arrive in Leicestershire for the Download festival.
About 100,000 people are anticipated to attend the four-day event, which began on Wednesday at Donington Park.
The M1, A50, A42, A38, and A453 were all experiencing "severe delays," according to National Highways.
Drivers were warned that there would likely be delays well into Wednesday night.
In order to keep traffic flowing, more traffic cops have been deployed, and free towing is also being provided.
According to Phil Shaw, resilience planner for National Highways, today (Wednesday) is anticipated to be the busiest day for arrivals, but more campers are expected to arrive tomorrow and 20,000 people with day tickets are anticipated on each of the four days of live music.
