An East Yorkshire woman who is battling two different cancers celebrated her milestone birthday by running.
This weekend marks Allyson Kent's 60th birthday. She represents the 5K Your Way program, which encourages cancer patients to maintain an active lifestyle.
Despite the sweltering heat on Saturday, she finished a 5k (3.11-mile) Parkrun at Beverley Westwood.
Afterward, Ms. Kent, who traveled 1,609 kilometers or 1,000 miles in 2021, said: "I feel absolutely elated. ".
