In an effort to increase awareness of mental health issues after his brother committed suicide, a father ran four marathons in four straight days.
A ludicrous event was a "personal challenge," according to 55-year-old Milton Keynes resident Peter Hincks.
After Guy Hinks' passing in 2021, he claimed he would raise money for Mind BLMK to demonstrate that there is "always a better way.".
He advised people to seek assistance and be open with others.
The father of two girls and a karate and guitar instructor said it was difficult to run around Caldecotte Lake in the city on the 2, 3, and 4 and 5 of February because "my body doesn't like running any more.".
He admitted, "I've completed a few marathons, but I've never participated in a multi-day event.
Mark Mackrill, his nephew, joined him in the challenge.
"My family came down to visit us every day, which was great," he remarked.
The third day was the worst because I was in so much pain when my brother Tony arrived.
"It has been worthwhile if it even just helps one person.
Following the passing of his brother, Mr. Hincks claimed to have sought counseling.
He said, "I went for help. "I'm just very aware of it now, so I felt ready to do something for Mind to raise money and awareness for mental health.
"There is always a better way out. Ask for help and speak with someone, be open and honest.
