An official "narrative was created" to prevent a Londonderry doctor from working, she told the High Court, after she was fired for remarks she made about the Covid-19 vaccination.
Following numerous complaints in 2021 regarding her remarks, Dr. Anne McCloskey was placed on leave.
Her suspension is being sought to be extended by the General Medical Council (GMC).
She claimed to have been fired because she "was opposed to the public health advice" in court on Thursday.
In an online video posted in August 2021, Dr. McCloskey expressed concerns about young people receiving Covid vaccinations.
After receiving numerous complaints about her remarks, a tribunal issued an 18-month suspension the following month.
The Derry GP claimed there had been an attempt to silence her when she testified in court on her own behalf.
This is the first time I've been able to present my case in public and be heard, the woman claimed.
Since the very beginning, a narrative that demanded that I be fired from my position as a doctor because I disagreed with the public health recommendations was developed. I objected to almost all of them.
The GMC's lawyer informed the court that there is a difference between the right to free speech and the need to shield the public from any alleged misleading statements.
The court heard testimony from Dr. McCloskey who stated, "The elderly may have needed protection, but the rest of society should have been allowed to function.".
In court, she also asserted that the World Health Organization had created fictitious plans for combating a pandemic that called for closing down society and schools.
What might happen actually did within six months, she said, "it's like a dystopian world that was rolled out in the event of that scenario.
When you think about it, Dr. McCloskey continued, "It's quite mind-boggling.".
Continued hearing.
