A hospital has referred to claims of staff bullying as "upsetting and shocking.".
According to University Hospital Southampton (UHS) NHS Foundation Trust, "current and former staff," comments were made on a private social media group. They spoke about their "experiences of bullying" in its hospitals, the organization claimed.
Southampton General Hospital is one of the six Hampshire locations managed by the trust.
It stated that learning more about the experiences of staff was a top priority.
UHS strives to provide "a positive work environment" where everyone can thrive "free of bullying, harassment, or discrimination of any kind," according to a statement from the trust's chief people officer Steve Harris.
When there is proof that this has happened, "we have taken action against individuals and we will continue to do so," he said.
Mr. Harris said he was committed to ensuring that the systems in place to report and assist people who were engaging in "unacceptable behaviors" were efficient and helpful.
Where they are not, he declared, "we will take whatever steps are necessary to bring about change.
The trust also oversees Lymington New Forest Hospital, Princess Anne Hospital, Southampton Children's Hospital, New Forest Birth Centre, and Royal South Hants Hospital.
UHS stated that it would make no further comments.
