According to police, a car ramming and stabbing attack in Tel Aviv, Israel, left at least seven people hurt.
The "terrorist," according to a police spokesperson, struck pedestrians on Pinchas Rosen Street before attempting to stab them. He was killed by a citizen who was armed.
The spokesperson also stated that three of the injured were in a serious condition.
According to reports, the attacker was a Palestinian from the occupied West Bank, according to Tel Aviv's police chief.
The attack was praised by the Palestinian militant organization Hamas, which claimed it was a "natural response" to the ongoing significant Israeli military operation in the Jenin refugee camp, located in the northern West Bank.
Since hundreds of Israeli soldiers entered the camp on Monday morning, supported by drone attacks, fierce gunfights with Palestinian militants inside the camp are said to have resulted in the deaths of at least 10 Palestinians.
