In the Scottish Borders, plans are being developed for an 80-turbine wind farm.
A total of 231,000 homes could be powered by the farm, which would be spread across two commercial forestry areas in Liddesdale, according to the energy company behind the plan.
EDF Renewables UK also stated that the region could receive community funding in the hundreds of thousands of pounds.
This week, the Scottish Borders Council will receive a scoping report.
Up to 80 wind turbines, battery energy storage, and a solar onsite system may be part of the wind farm located within Wauchope and Newcastleton Forests.

There will be numerous opportunities for the public to see, offer feedback, and view the proposals as they are developed. ".
In order to support Scotland's renewable energy targets, Mr. Bennett expressed his hope that the company could create a proposal.
