A hacker who sold two unreleased songs that were taken from Ed Sheeran and sold on the dark web must pay more than £100,000 in fines.
The 23-year-old Ipswich resident Adrian Kwiatkowski exchanged cryptocurrency for 12 songs by rapper Lil Uzi Vert and music by Sheeran.
He admitted to 19 charges against him last year, including copyright infringement and possession of illegal property, and was sentenced to 18 months in prison.
He currently holds Bitcoin equivalent to about half of the total amount due.
The Crown Prosecution Service claimed that Kwiatkowski was able to obtain them after infiltrating the performers' online accounts.
City of London Police reported that he had earned £131,000 from the music.
Kwiatkowski admitted to hacking the musicians' cloud-based accounts during his police interview and selling the songs online.
The defendant's Apple Mac laptop was searched during his trial, and 565 audio files were found there, including songs by Sheeran and Vert, according to evidence presented at Ipswich Crown Court.
Following legal action by the City of London Police's Police Intellectual Crime Unit (PIPCU), the same court has now granted a confiscation order against the hacker, giving him three months to pay £101,053.
It is the first confiscation order of cryptocurrency secured by PIPCU and consists of £51,975 held in a bank account owned by Kwiatkowski and 2.64 BTC (Bitcoin), worth £49,528.
If the payment is not made within three months, he will serve an additional 18 months in prison.
Det Con Daryl Fryatt from PIPCU stated: "Kwiatkowski carried out a tricky scheme to market original works that he did not own.
"Our work doesn't end with the conviction; as a result, Kwiatkowski won't be able to continue to profit from the money he made through criminal activity.
