In the National League play-off semifinal against Bromley on May 7, according to the police, the drone was seen flying over Chesterfield Football Club's Technique Stadium.

After the delay, Chesterfield eventually prevailed.

The game was stopped for a while, and the referee told the players to leave the field before the object was seen to touch down, according to Derbyshire Police.

Mr. Franks, of Allsops Place in Chesterfield, is accused of flying a drone above crowds of people, beyond the line of sight, without first registering as a drone operator, and without showing an operator ID on the drone operated remotely.

To appear in Chesterfield Magistrates' Court on June 19, he was granted unrestricted bail.

After the game resumed, Chesterfield prevailed 3-2; however, a week later, they lost to Notts County at Wembley in the play-off championship.
